The Ben-Hur 50th Anniversary Collectors Edition Is Your Best Picture Movie That's Not Silent Deal of the Day [Dealzmodo]

So I was watching the Oscars yesterday. Well, not really. I was finished watching the NBA All Star Game and I decided to flip over to see which rich and beautiful person was going to win a gold naked man and become even more rich and beautiful and I realized, this might've been the first year I didn't watch ANY of these quote unquote best picture movies. The easiest watch for me would've been Moneyball but even though I love sports, I don't like sports movies. But the rest? Oh god. Call me uncultured but this seemed like a pretty week year for movies. Call me repetitive but I think I said that last year too and the year before that. ANYWAY. I looked back and the last time I didn't see any movie that was nominated for Best Picture was 1992. Nice to know I'm reverting my movie tastes twenty years back. Whatever. Ben-Hur, a movie that won Best Picture more than 50 years ago, is now only $29 (originally $65). That movie is better than The Artist because Ben-Hur had SOUND, right? Right!? -CC More »
